Hiking

The Ticonderoga area has miles of hiking trails, ranging from trails in the Pharaoh Wilderness Area to the La Chute River Trail.

Water Sports

With hundreds of miles of shoreline Lake George and Lake Champlain offer unique opportunities for boating activities. Snug Harbor Marina, a full service marina with boat rentals, boat sales, slip rentals and storage is situated on northern Lake George.

The town also affords central proximity to ski areas; it is within 90 minutes of Whiteface, Killington, Sugarbush, Okemo, West, Gore, Titus, and Big Tupper.

Ticonderoga also has other recreational facilities. There are municipal and state operated beaches, marinas, tennis courts, walking and hiking trails, camping, and free boat launches on both Lake George and Lake Champlain.
