Bicentennial Timeline Encampment
A timeline encampment features reenactment units from more than one historical period.

Demonstrations of camp life, cooking, tailoring, children's games, military exercise were held.


The encampment took place in Ticonderoga's Bicentennial Park.



Ticonderoga Reenactments

Saturday, July 31


9:00 am Encampment opens to the public. Feel free to wander about and talk to the reenactors.

11:00 am Civil War Monument rededication at that monument (app. 1/4 mile from the camp).

2:00 pm Tactical demonstrations in the roped off area at the east end of the park.

3:00 pm People from the Past program, at the bandstand. Men and women from each period talk about their clothing and equipment.

8:00 pm Lantern Light tour of the camps.

8:30 pm Feu de Joie (fire of joy, or celebratory firing).

9:00 pm Encampment closes to the public.


Sunday, August 1


9:00 am Encampment opens to the public.

11:00 am People from the Past program, at the bandstand. Men and women from each period talk about their clothing and equipment.

1:30 pm Tactical demonstrations in the roped off area at the east end of the park.

3:00 pm Encampment closes to the public.
