The beat of a drum
The tune of fifes;
We honor these men
For they risked their lives.
The roar of a cannon;
The smell of fire and rum.
Americans were surprised;
They didn't know the British would come.
Commands from the major
to the Grenadiers.
Screams from men
You never thought you would hear.
